Oktava • Октава 1972

LP Янтарная пара. Бальные танцы.
Республиканский эстрадный оркестр «Октава». Дирижёр Миндаугас Тамошюнас.
33 СМ-03645−46 / 1972 / ripped by Martin

play oktava — giedra padange 1972.mp3 B7

play oktava — viskas kinta 1972.mp3 A7 / Переменчивость (Hendrix’s Changes)

I noticed groovy things are usually placed as the first or last track on a LP side. This case is not an exception.

Other two tracks of the great (a very progressive and euro-cultured) lithuanian band follows below. Note one of them is a 100% psychedelic thing played however by a band with word «estradic» in the title (:

play oktava — shagi 1972.mp3 translated as «the steps»

play oktava — udivlyayutsya mamy i papy.mp3 / Stebis tetis ir mama (I’m unsure about who have recorded that although — it could be band «Gintareliai» also)

is it possible to listen a whole LP?

Personally I don't own a copy of it. I'd just notice although these two tracks are good grooves, other thracks hardly are. It's a common situation with such LP's.

Stebis tetis ir mama actually is a track by Gintareliai, they have 4 or 5 tracks in the LP Gintareliai is Lithuanian psychedelic rock at its best... I am absolutely unsure how they slipped the tracks into the middle of Oktava LP, because they have lyrics about long hair and making love :) In the liner notes of the LP there is no name mentioned but their tracks are marked as played by "guitar band". I have read somewhere, that the whole band was included into Oktava rhythm section and were recording and touring together.
